Inspection priorities

Reduce label-control risk on regulated products

A readable code is only one part of the requirement. Product identity, variable data, fixed artwork and traceability information must agree on every printed label.

01

UDI and code quality

Verify supported 1D/2D codes for readability, grade and decoded content.

02

Lot, date and serial data

Check OCR/OCV fields, ranges, duplication, sequence and database values.

03

Artwork and content

Compare fixed text, symbols, graphics and defined regions against the approved template.

One inspection workflow

Combine code, text and artwork inspection

  • UDI and barcode verificationInspect code quality and compare decoded content with the expected job data.
  • OCR/OCV field controlVerify lot, manufacture and expiry dates, serial numbers and product identifiers.
  • Template comparisonDetect missing, extra or changed fixed content in defined label regions.
  • Traceable inspection recordsRetain inspection results to support quality review and production traceability.
Application fit

Designed around your label and printer

BLC integrates at the label exit of verified Zebra, SATO, TSC, Epson, Honeywell and Printronix industrial printers. The inspection module does not reduce the printer's supported label width and preserves supported cutter, peeler, rewinder and RFID workflows.

Does BLC support UDI labels?

BLC can inspect supported UDI carrier formats and compare decoded values with expected data. Exact symbology and data rules are confirmed during application review.

Can it support 21 CFR Part 11 workflows?

BLC includes functions intended to support controlled electronic-record workflows. Your organisation remains responsible for system validation, procedures and regulatory compliance.

Can it check expiry dates and lot numbers?

Yes. OCR/OCV and data-comparison functions can verify defined lot, date, serial and range rules.

Can we test our actual label first?

Yes. Send a representative label, printer model and required inspection regions so the application can be evaluated.

Verify the inspection plan before you invest
